182Cup - pre-sale advice please

Towards the end of July I will be putting my Inferno 182Cup up for sale and I would like some more opinions on a reasonable price to ask.

Feb 2005 54 plate Inferno Cup with (now) 37k 80% motorway. Not much more mileage estimated between now and then.

FRSH (great)

One small c. 40mm scrape on the back bumper that needs paint.


What would you put this up for? I'm thinking £7750 and take £7500.

Think 7 something (final sale price) sounds about right though.

I might ask for £8k tbh. I need to maximise the cash for the CTR. Yeah, Dom, I am hoping that Inferno will help to push it

I sold my Racing Blue Cup with 19k on it for £7750 2 months ago.

I've seen them on Autotrader for £9k max, but they ARE still on there lol

OK cheers guys I think I will advertise at £7750 to get interest but not go less than £7500. See how that goes. Drop to £7000, if needed, as CTR day approaches.

The 306xsi is in for an MOT on Thursday. If it passes I may just get it legal and use it as a runner. Sell the shed now and get maximum dorrar. Then sell the Pug post-CTR

Mine never sold until I priced it accordingly. There are some 182 FF cars on there with low mileage on for just over 8k so I was never going to get a great re-sale value on mine with it being a cup.

I'd see what the going rate is on Auto trader in your local area ! and adjust your price , miles/history/conned/tax/mot/quick sale.

Put it on at mid price!

£7k and it wont be for sale for long, there are that many for sale at the moment they have to be priced to sell, mine obviously wasnt and thats why I still have it.

Start @ 8 mate and work from that.

It an inferno so its not overly popular and the milage isnt too sad either. Cant you put it up for sale earlier?? You could be even more picky ion what you take for it!!!

If you can hold onto it... price it a bit higher.

Your choice as to what you can let it go for at the end of the day.

Yeah dont under sell it. 8k starting price, seehow it goes. Peeps on here think they can only sell on here and piston heads..... look in the trader local to you. Thats what i do, a lot of people dont like traveling too far to buy a car. I will only ever travel up to an hour max

i got 7.5k a few months back for my 182 cup inferno, 24k, from a trader (churches) which i was pretty pleased with.

Knew i could get around 8k for it at the time, but wanted a quick sale.

I would of thought u will get 7.5k for it easy.

I look forward to needing a track toy or runabout in a few years, as these cars will be available for 3-4k!
