This has been playinig on my mind for a while.. I am seriously thinking about getting some anthracite coloured 18's for the f1 but still havent seen a 197 with 18's.... has anyone on here got some? do they fit without modifying anything???
Also what fitment are they i know 5x108 pcd but whats all this offset talk?? most alloy wheel sites dont seem to list the 197.. is it the same as all other renault 5 stud wheels or are they a different offset??!!??
cheers

thanks... whats that about the front brake line giles?

yeah i am not keen on those wheels from k-tec thanks all the same

Info from k-tec site:

For those of you that don't know, both the Megane and Clio Sport models have standard wheels with a very high 68mm offset (most Renault models are around 35mm). This makes finding aftermarket wheels, that will clear the Brembo calipers, almost impossible.

The Megane wheels will fit but that was according the the Renault dealer and we all know how fun they can be but then they have Brembos as well so i cant see the problem. Only thing is if you fit 18's its going to sit much higher but think some of the speedline wheels look lush but im tempted on a set of R26's in black.

well it looks like there is only two options then??
might have to price up the r26 wheels then...

yeah but i have an advantage in that my mate works at the pirelli factory here outside carlisle and he can get two sets of tyres a year... he just got some p-zero's 220/40/-18 for 115+vat yes thats for four
and he said he could get me a set!!

Thats alright then mate, just think about the ride height as well as thats guna be affected. The only other thing you could do is just get yours powder coated. Which to be honest is my plan. To get another set of wheels and get them done.

the ride height shouldnt be effected that much if have a lower profile tyre fitted, as the tyres on the 17" wheel am quite bulky
