19.4 litres + 36 cylinders = 1 great Lakes run

......256 miles later, we're back home! :D

Our little convoy of four V6's, one 182 and a 'little' Vauxhall Monaro took on some of the best roads that the Lakes had to offer. Great, traffic free (for the most part) stretches of the black stuff combined with the boom of Jain's Quicksilver exhaust made it a memorable run.

Good food at the pub on the way home too - even if the drinks cost the same as a second mortgage. ;)

Cheers but I would have liked a few of the 'on the move' pictures to have come out as well. The one in the valley after the pub-stop, next to the stream and after the cattle gates and where the ribbon of road started to rise again in front of us was awesome, really moody and imposing with all the scree and fallen rocks around, and just that one road leading up and out. When you on the move the delay on a digital camera can be a pain.

I've been telling L. all about it. If we head out that way again will deffo have to stop and do some 'posed' shots in that place, 'twas proper fookin nowhere!

^^^^^ - Stevie - a bad worker always blames his tools! :rasp: I know what you mean about the roads though. Shame I was concentrating a bit too much on sticking to them, than admiring the scenery.

Forgot to post one shot of Steve's Monaro as well - the one with that puny, tiddler of an engine...... ;)

Glad you were concentrating I'd rather you were driving in a manner that meant we didn't end up as part of the view. Well done to all the V6 drivers too; there were some mean looking walls lining the route so keeping the back end in line in such poor road conditions was essential, I don't think I saw one back wheel out of place the whole time we were out. Even my crafty plan to p1ss everyone off with bad navigating didn't unsettle anyone;).
