195/45/16 vs 205/45/16 ?

hi my car came with 195s but i see alot of people use the 205s ? whats the pros and cons of each ?

195's are the correct size for a 172 IIRC. Will get more grip from 205's as they are wider so more surface area on the road, 195's are cheaper. That's about the only difference really.

For normal road use I doubt your going to notice any difference.

I've used both and prefer the feel of the 205 however they both had different brands of tyres so the comparison isn't 100% accurate.

I prefer 205 gives the wheel a little more protection for when the mrs is driving it!

My 205's rub slightly on the inner arch metalwork through medium speed tight turns.... car is lowered, but didnt rub with 195's
