195/45 or 205/45 - Clio 172

Has anyone changed from 195/45 tyres to 205/45 on their 172???

Is it worth doing when replacing the tyres?

Ive just ordered two new pe2 exaltos in 205/45 to replace the 195's... I need more traction!! But I think its quite a good upgrade.

ive got 182 anthracites on my 1.6 - my mates a renault tech and he said 205/45's are better so thats whats on em - and he usually knows what hes talking about

I'm not so sure. I wasn't keen on the 205's I had on my 172. Although they were A539's :dead:

Well unfortunately I'll prob have the keep the 195's on the front as Ive only done 1,000 miles on them and I dont fancy having the narrower tyres on the back. But I'll let you know what theyre like.

I upgraded to 205's a while back.. but then went back down to 195's due to them being cheaper...

Tramlined a bit more with 205's, but better grip through the corners..
