197 cam upgrade for 172

Just wondering if the 197 cams into a 172 engine is a worthwhile upgrade?

Also if anyone has done it?

If you have a set and know how to time them up and your due to do belts then yes.

Yeah I have done the timing before. Still got tools etc.

Would it be worthwhile getting a set? And what sort of gains are expected? I am currently building my loom for my standalone Ecu which will be mapped also.

They don't use stock timing.

What induction are you using?
standard inlet / rs2 / itbs etc?

rs2 is only time they are really worthwhile.

Going from my Monaco to my cup the 197's really help it...
