I know that's retail price, but for FFS - £20k for a 197? I wouldn't pay that for one if they knocked £8k off that price.

TBH never likely to be light either, just look at the weight of a basic 1.4 16v mk3 clio!

Why do people constantly moan about the weight and speed of the 197 - if you dont like it - DONT BUY IT!

There is no doubt that a clio is not worth 17250 but who the chuff is gonna pay that anyway? You would have to be really off your tits to pay what the dealer wanted for it.

Personally, im gonna let all the new owners take it in the ass with the depreciation this time. I have learnt my lesson from buying a brand new 182.

Give it a year and you will be able to pick a 197 up with 10k on the clock for 10 grand - now thats a bargain!
