someone remind me how much the ph-quick (mk1 172) was when it was new?

You mean a Trophy, they were around £15.5 k. No idea how much the much slower Phase 1 172 was though.

It may feel quicker, but in reality it's not. Even the owner of that one admited he couldn't keep up and he was trying. It was also on coilovers.

Glad to hear someone being sensible finally. We've all been far too spoilt as the Renaultsports have come down in price as the model gets older. With a new shape we're essentially back to the start as far as pricing goes. Give it 2 years, and I'm sure we'll find the standard model has a little bit more kit fitted and costs about a grand less.

Not too sure on how long the previous shape Clio was around, but I think most cars have a lifespan of around 5-7 years? Wait until the end, then get a high spec end of line cheap
