Last pic, what a fantastic looking car Dave 😎
To be honest the body paint and dent wise is not great, the pics are kind - but yes, a Tungsten phase 1 on the OE turbine wheel is the epitomisation of retro cool. Saying that, they car is not rusty by any stretch so a great base to start from. I hope that the next owner will pick up where I left off in getting it up to a running driving and reliable project starting point. This one will be moving on and ill be collecting the next one as soon as it does :)

Someone I know with possibly the cleanest red phase 1 out there posted this the other day... Just LOOK at it!

Havent decided yet but around £4k most likely, maybe a bit less, i've already got someone thats got first knock on it, and two other interested parties on top of that. I've put about a grand and about 35-40 hours into it so far so it should be a good solid car.

MOT time!

And we have a pass with an advisory that the brake flexi's are a bit old - I will sort this anyway, might as well everything else is new!

Runs and drives nice, engine seems healthy, it did more miles Saturday than its done since November 2017 :)

MOT tester was quite complimentary on its condition for its age, even if its a bit beat up on the outside.

Oh, I did have to spend some time getting the washer pump working too, the one in there decided to fill itself with water... would you believe my local factors had one in stock that fitted!

Investigated a creak in the NSF turret... turns out the topmount bearing was completely seized up. Only had genuine ones in stock, so rather than wait for one to be delivered I begrudgingly used one - usually items like this are reserved for my Quadra lol

Can I just say how absolutely phenomenal these Milwaukee 18v ugga-dugga guns are!

Then brake lines, I needed to do the flexis, decided to do the front solids as well as someone had frankenstiened them. Bye bye!

Moved on to do the rears and the bloody parts were wrong, so it's now stuck on stands while I wait for the right flexi pipes to arrive. Slightly annoyed as I wanted to drive it about a bit this week but as I'd cracked all the lines off I just decided to leave it there until parts arrive.

Rear flexis done.

Had an ABS light grace me with its shining glory, so investigation revealed a dead sensor. Had a spare in the garage in a hub, but stuck in so I had to cut it out. This is fine as if I ever need it for my own car, i've sacked off the ABS anyway.

Fully road legal now and been doing some road testing

Of course it wasn't going to let me off completely - a small trail of smoke off a hot turbo led me to this weeping oil return

What an actual bell-end to access with the turbo on the car! Anyway, got that off, cleaned up and sealed on with a smear of Reinzosil. I also fixed a broken stud on the turbo support bracket while I was there. Out for a good 20-odd miles last night and seems to have resolved it :)
