1st gear in 172 cup

i took a 172 cup for a test drive yesterday. oh my god i love it!! but when i pulled away in 1st gear it felt a tiny bit jumpy. i dont think it was just me getting used to the clutch point!! coz the bloke who owned the car had already told me before that it its like it with all 172 cups. i cant remember why he said this happens!! can anyone help please?

Yeah they do that when cold m8, give a few mins and it sorts itself out....

Yup, same with a sloppy/lumpy idle.
