What the 225, I'd safely say the answer it no, at the moment people are trying to put the 2.0 16v 172/182 engine into a Mk1! Although there are a few Megane engines being shoe horned into Mk2's at the mo..
You mean a 2.0 16v megane lump with a turbo bolted on?! AKAIK the 2.0 is the same as in the Williams and should fit..

The gear box in the megane 225 are 6 speed and is very big i wouldnt think the engine and box wouldn't fit in.
You're best off speaking to j3ned about this, as I think he's even able to do you a kit.

a K4M (1.6 16v) or even F7/F7R (2.0 16v/2.0 16v (172)) would be a better option.
and i'm not even sure how easy that is.

THANKS for all the response. First of all I live in South Africa and no one really knows how to make Renault's quick over here. Therefore my idea to put a 2.0l Turbo in my 99 Clio 1.4 RT , I am not sure about the code name you guys have for the Renaults. How can I post a pic of my cabbie?

What about a valver or Willaims lump (F7/F7R)?

I have also been contemplating strapping either a turbo or charger on the Clio, and have spoken to Alan Oberholser (THE Opel TS man), but will need to find the $ first,
Im at Westbank most Wednesdays.
