2 Clio Keys, Help

A guy i work with has Mk2 ph1 RSI 1.6 16v.

its got 2 keys

key 1 does everything a key should

Key 2 opens the doors remotly, and in the lock.
BUT wont start the car.


any ideas?
i think the key fits the ignition but when it turns nothing happens!


help please!

Internal fault with key 2 as its not disarming the immobiliser, new key required.

Transponder probably needs coding so that it can disable the immobiliser.

Yeah its not programmed to the immobiliser

It'll open the doors cause it's a different chip.

You could actually program his key to open your car instead of his.

yeah they said it was the immobiliser for the engine, not the doors ( i didnt know they were different)

ive got this aswell although the second key came with the new barrel they fitted in the door ??

Keys can be reletively easily coded to operate the central locking but you need a clip machine and £££ to get it coded for the immobiliser.
