2402 miles. 14 days. 2 Countries.
In a similar fashion to the recent '3 Countries' thread I thought it was best I got around to putting mine up
We started of driving to Dover at about 5am to catch our 8.30am ferry, once in France we drove to our first Campsite near Langres,
On the way
We were only there for a night, it was here however that we notcied that the Dutch have a love for karaoke.
We headed further south the next day and slowly headed toward Le Grand Bornard
We setup camp and named it Chateaux de Chav. The car was filthy at this point after several hundred miles of rain! This was no more than 36 hours after i'd spent ages cleaning it.
We were by far the least prepared campers we came across
The next day we headed in to Annecy about 30 miles away. It was such a beautiful city. On the way we cam across a mini Chateaux
We decided to go in, we paid our money and were heading in to the Chateaux when we are told we could only enter as part of a tour. Tours were run in French or Dutch, we spoke neither. As a result we spent an our in the company of 30 Dutch, not understanding a word that was spoken.
Annecy
On Lake Annecy in a pedelo
We went for a little dirve after tea to explore the area a bit. It was beautiful!
The next day we left Le Grand Bornard and headed toward the small village of Megier, to meet my parents.
We arrived about 4 hours later
We went for a little explore of the area, not a huge amount to see but vineyards!
The view out the back of the house we were renting
The next day we headed of to Pont De Gard
Then on to Nimes, unfortunately they have decided to tarmac over the best preserved ampithreatre in the world..
The next day was spent canoeing
and dinner in the evening.
Got some nice pictures after the meal before letting Aimee drive home, it was a shame i didn't have a tripod.
My brother is a rude boy
After that it was canoeing down the Ardeche Gorge
Then dinner
Then to Orange
and Avignon
We left my parents after 7 nights and headed back north.
We arrived at campsite 3 which was in the grounds of a small Chateaux
We spent a day in Chinon and headed up to Paris, but not before seeing this lovely little number up for sale
Yours for 9000 euros, it's a 2000 model
We left and headed to Paris, unfortuately 90 minutes later were 2 miles away from where we left of and on the back of lorry.
30 minutes later and we were on our way, again.
We eventualy made it to Paris and campsite 4
We had 2 nights here before heading home
The queue!!
In the Arc d'Triomphe.
We left the next day and headed home
At the end of the trip..
The Laguna splitter is coming off. I don't like it as much as when i first put it on.
