2 litre conversion

I have been planning a 2 litre conversion on my 1.2 16v for a while now. im under way setting up the new suspension and brakes before i do the engine. I need to purchase some 172 hubs in order to fit 172 suspension and brakes, what i need to know is; will the 172 hubs fit the 1.2 16v driveshafts until the engine is done??
any help appreicated.

u'd b better puttin ur money into buy a proper 2.0L 172 mate, mite even work out a bit cheaper in the long run.

well u'd hve a lot more wrk in puttin audi stuff into ur 1.2 shell than wat u would with renault stuff

plus imagine liftin the bonet n seeing an audi badge  :S

just buy a 172 ;)

If you know the undertaking your even thinking about you wouldn't even thing about this the chnaging of the brakes and suspension and hubs would take about 10 minutes to do when the cars having the transplant done and that taking your time.

audi conversion would be neat!

Its been done though V6 I think would be funnier. There a few you can use.

  80MPG BEEZA
if i was doing my car over again the tt engine would have went in if i knew about the weakness of the jc5 gbox, but if you are going to do it mate then do it all at once just save the parts until your ready to go,

and cost isnt actually true the amount im saving in insurance and tax and for some reason petrol (based on my MPG) i will save enough money in 2 years to cover the cost of selling up and buying a 172

  porsche 944 - 80's ftw!
Buy my spare 172 thats in the for sale ad's and strip what you want and sell the rest on for a profit!!!

o yea that makes sense buy a perfectly good 172 n then strip it down n put it in a 1.2??

thats reali clever (not reali, totally stupid idea!!!!)

;)
