2 problems with my '51 plate 172

Problem 1: Engine management light was coming on so took it to my local garage and they said it was the c02 sensor, which i chnged, then engine management light went off, BUT it's now coming up with an error when diagnostics is on it saying something about the upstream c02 sensor, but the garage can't work out why it's saying this when no management light is coming on...do you think this is because i've got a decat pipe and full cat back system fitted?

Problem 2: The oil light keep coming on, so I had it fully serviced, oil change etc, but the oil light still keeps coming on, maybe once every 45 mins etc, any ideas?

chances are if you have a decat, the light will be on, mine always is.

i was driving in a dark lane and without noticing, went through a MASSIVE puddle, must have bee 20ft long and 8 inches deep, soon as I came out the other side the management light came on and car has driven like a DOG ever since....co2 sensor replaced, light gone out, no longer driving like a dog, but still says there is an error there with upstream sensor..weird.

maybe a loose wire on the sensor, put some tape around it and wiggle it and stuff

i had this problem on mine, i took the cover off and pushed one of the leads on top back in that was halfway out, problem solved.

any idea where exactly this lead is? im a idiot when it comes to engines, so can you describe where it is?

Crap connection to or semi knackered oil pressure switch probably.

tbh i dont lol!! its the 4 leads on top, there the only ones there i think, just push on the top of them all.

The lambeda light will come on all the time until until you unplug the second sensor then have the faul cleared the second sensors deting a faulty cat th garage is a bit usless if they cannot tell this.

Dodgy oil connection.
