Went across to Adrian's today (ado) to get the projector lights and HID kit fitted to the 200.

Had it all done in around an hour and the lights change the front end massively.

Anyway pictures tell the story:

Sorry for the horrendous photos (again), but you get the drift, will get some pictures of both together very soon.

Huge difference! So are these xenons or what exactly?

I still can't understand Renault dropping the xenon option after the 182

It was an option on 197s also IIRC.

They said the uptake on Xenons wasnt sufficient enough to jutify offering it.

They do look much better with the projectors. Is that HIDs in the one on the right? I was gonna put HIDs in my projectors when I put 'em in but was put off my new MOT regs.

Finishing touch to the outside, as Christopher said they're a must for 200s, don't understand why people very rarely spec them.

Glad you're happy with them :).

They are 6000k and mine are 5000k. Mine still looks yellow with the sidelights but doesn't bother me.

Great improvements on the looks, this was the first mod i did to the 200 Cup as well.

Theres literally nothing else chrome on the car other than the side badges, and Renault diamonds so it makes alot of sense to swap, makes it appear alot more modern.

Aside from how they look, are they worth the cost for the improvement in how they throw light down the road?

I recall there's split opinion over whether Xenons are better than standard on the mkIIs, so are these Projectors night and day difference or a bit meh compared to standard?

In other words, could I improve my lot by throwing in some upgraded bulbs...or is this another CS essential mod?

@MarkCup. Unfortunately no. The light you get is crisper and brighter but no extra spread, or distance unfortunately. You would get the same light pattern if you just chucked PIAA bulbs into the units compared with a HID.

@Knuckles. The HIDs themselves arent the problem, the lack of space in the engine bay is. You would need the bumper off to allow enough access to both fit and secure the ballasts properly.

They look awesome mate, just awaiting for my car to arrive and while i'm waiting i'm looking at mods to get and came across this and sounds like a must, where are the parts from?

Cheers

Great mod. I wouldn't like to be without my xenons. This upgrade literally makes the front end look twice as good.

Its a shame Renault went pikey and dropped standard fit xenons on the RS Clio. Then to not even make them an option on the 200 is even worse.

I'd go for Xenons every time, just because of how white the light is, they don't throw anymore light down the road, but the light is like daylight.

Mind you, mine aren't set up properly yet so they are lighting the trees above the car more than the road in front at the minute!

You can pick up The headlights from Wests Renault on here, but I got them from someone privately.

The HID kit is from HIDs-direct and they are the 35w 6000k kit, not sure which fitment they are though, maybe H1 but I'm not 100% sure!

This is a nice mod indeed.
