200 Sound System

Does anyone find the sound system in the 197/200 (i think they are the same) Isnt great?

I thought that renault were usually quite good with their sound systems. It isnt crap, just isnt as funky town as i would have liked.

Obviously i dont want to change the head unit as its all incorperated however what if i was to put 4 better speakers in.
I dont want a sub.

even the upgraded bluetooth usb option is still 20w shame they dont seem to offer anything better

ive got the cabasse 6cd 4x40w in my mk3 which i love to bits an dare id say i will miss it if i buy a new clio

tomorrow im getting a parrot mki which should solve the lacking connectivity

Yeah, i have the same, its a good setup, but it cant handle the bass like my CDTI Combo lol!!! Do you think some speaker upgrades would help?

not sure im not into bass although ive wondered if my speakers are the upgrade as theirs no logo on the speaker grills :S

cos itll be ready for 4 speakers but i wouldnt be suprised at it having 2 as standard

I wouldnt mind knowing if you can put an aftermarket radio in and get an adaptor so the steering wheel controls still work? If you can how much are they?

yes you can,i do the adapters for this vehicle for £47 as its CANBUS

If i purchase and fit the wheel control adaptor, what exacly will i lose? I know ill loose the time date, and radio writing in the central dash, but will i loose info from the small screen where the steering wheel is? Will i need to look for an input for the adaptor to go as far as compatability goes? Cheers Lew

central dash will keep time and date,no radio station info.youll also lose it from the one above the wheel.

i wouldnt know if the stalk and display adapter will keep the wheel display as its relatively new.
