2002 172 - Trip clock keeps resetting

Hi guys. Any ideas why my trip clock keeps resetting every few days. Never does it while you are using the car, its like as if its forgot the data or something. Normal mileage is fine, just all the other displays on the computer reset to zero.

Any ideas?

for real? Its on its way out then? It still starts the car no problem. I assume this is a tell tale sign its gonna go soon?

Yep new battery seems most likly get it checked could be a faulty dashboard but in the cold the batterys do die.

Halfords etc do a free battery test.

Mine had the same problem recently and renault told me it was the battery. replaced it, problem solved.

Got this as well recently, more so on cold mornings.

Was thinking the battery was on its way out, this confirms it nicely!
