2005 CLio 1.2 16v Service. 47500 miles.

My car is coming up to needing a service, although I'm unsure what it needs.
The next service is due at 47500 miles, or January 2011.

As the car is five years old, is this the service that involves the cambelt and stuff?
Also if I could do it myself, depending on what it needs, is it okay to do this, or is it recommended to take it to a garage/specialist to keep the FSH?

THanks

Have a look in your owners manual, Probably says there...

Seeing as the old rule for the cambelt is "5 years or 75k miles" yours is on the 5 years marker... So that probably needs seeing too.

Service is probably: Oil, Air filter, cabin filter, coolant? Aux belt (but should be covered with cambelt.. I think you need the aux KIT, comes with the belt and the new pullys or what ever)

All those above are very easy to do, Ive done them all except coolant, But yeah you wont get a stamp in your book to keep history up...

Spark plugs arent touched till 75k i believe? But changing mine at 55k made a difference with the other oil changing and servicing imo.

Hea got a 1.2, spark plugs every 36k or 4yrs.. I'd take it to a garage bud unless you have a good mechanical knowledge. They are very simple engines to work on but all comes down to how competent you are and only you know if your confident enough to play about with cambelt...

Well I did a clutch change on my car earlier in the year lol. I'm pretty confident with filters and oil and stuff, its just the cambelt and everything associated with it.
And the fact I won't get a service stamp?
