2005 Clio Dynamique Stalk Problem

Ive just brought a Kenwood Kdc-6051u and a connects2 CTSRN004 and the kenwood patch cable after connecting up i cant get the stalk to work. All ive got is a stalk cable of the back of the HU and 1 cable on the patch lead as anyone got any ideas

they changed the wiring interface on cars after 2004. at one point there was no way to get the stalk working on 2004 onwords cars but i beleive you can now get something, you possibly have the pre 04 model of adapter?
