2007 in pics

A bit early maybe, but I've got nothing else planned before the New Year so I thought I would share my fave pics from this year (in the sequence they were taken, March at the top and working through to October at the bottom), a year of firsts for me...

The trusty D50 has coped brilliantly and done more than should really be asked of it in terms of published/printed pics that stretch its 6MP to the limits. Still going strong after about 60k shutters though, got to be a further 12 months left in her yet :)

Has been an awesome year, apart from F1 testing and a rally or two I've got to everything I could realistically see this year. Roll on 2008...

those pictures really are amazing, makes the pics i've taken and was impressed with look like crap
what camera is that? how much of that is your talent or is it just having a good camera at the right time?

Cracking pics Chris.

I really appreciated your efforts in the rain at the RS trackday at Brands this year.
:)

It isn't the camera body really, it's the lens. I managed to pick up a 80-200mm 2.8 dirt cheap (well, £500) at the start of the year, the rest has been an absurd amount of practice - if a car is on track at Castle Combe of a weekend I'm there, basically.

The lens is waaaaay too short for motorsport, but it's forced me to be more creative and it seems to be paying off. Not being able to afford a longer lens has probably helped me in the long run, it's more fun being restricted as it makes you think.

amazing pics dude. teach me ;)

Bung your camera in shutter priority mode, play around with panning the camera and taking pics, then adjust the speed settings (e.g. 1/200, 1/50 etc) until something starts to look good.

That's exactly what I did anyway :)

5,000 shots later you start to figure out what works and what doesn't.
