When i say detail it may not be upto everyone's standards but still a massive improvement!
anyway, after recently buying a das6 my dad wanted me to see if I could get rid of a few scuff marks, tree scratches etc so I went up yesterday and got an early start. The caddy seemed to be an ex rental vehicle covered in glue marks from the removal of sign writing and had clearly not been cleaned up by the valeters 2 months previous.
Sadly no befores or 50/50s as I was on a tight scale.
Washed with britemax and 2bm
rinsed
iron x
wheels washed
ironx on wheels
agitated and rinsed off
vehicle Clayed with bilthamer auto clay
rinsed
dried and taped up with 3m tape
Polished with orange hexlogic pad and meguiars ultimate compound
Heavier marks polished with menzerna ip2100
black hex logic pad finished with af tripple
Waxed with prima epic
trims dressed with af revive
glass cleaned with stoner glass cleaner and repellant
arches dressed with some cheap tyre gloss I can't recall
tyres dressed with wolfs chemical blackout
finished shots:
tried to capture a reflection shot with the clio in the background
not bad for a workhorse, total time was around 8 hours just a few deeper marks remain which need more work another time.
any tips recommendations on my process would be helpful! All I can think of is a tar remover to add in which is on the shopping list.
Thanks
