2015 RS Clio EDC Gone & Anti pollution warning came on.

Hi everyone, my name is Gerri and I have a Clio 2015 RS. It has 85 k on the clock. Last month or so I’ve been getting Check Auto Gearbox. My hubby spoke to mechanic and he said that it needs to be checked but that the warning can go on for months. Within 4 weeks I was driving it and not only did the Check Auto Gearbox come up but the Anti pollution words came up. I was pulling to home luckily when they came up. I stopped the car and haven’t been able to start it since.
I was wondering as I’ve received a couple of different opinions. One is take it to Renault dealer (tow it) and get them to diagnose problem or take it to a Transmission specialist.
Can anyone help me with making this decision on which way I go. Also is it worth looking at car wrecks for the EDC part as I hear it is 4k?

Hi and welcome to CS!

First up change your battery if you haven’t done so already, you need an AGM one for it. If that doesn’t fix it then it’s time to get it to a dealer for a new transmission control module which will need coding to the car the cost for this will be roughly £1000 I would guess. Keep your fingers crossed the TCM isn’t on back order!
