20mm H&R Spacers = Vibration

Car  2012 Clio RS 200
Hi,

I've fitted 20mm H&R Hub-centric Spacers on all four wheels on my 2012 RS200, but now I'm getting vibration on front wheels when driving 100-110 KM/H.

Is it normal? Do you have the same issue?

Regards,

When I fitted my 20mm spacers to my ph1 the wheel bolts needed trimming down by a few mm as they where to long.

Not sure. Depends if you've got longer wheel bolts or bolt to hub spacers. Also make sure the spacers are flat on the hub. Dont use an impact gun to torque up.

I have the longer bolts sure and I've wire brushed and cleaned the hubs before fitting.

How clean were the mating faces? Was the disc area superb clean?

How much play do the wheels have with everything fitted on , I am wondering if the bolts have bottomed out? At the same time have you spun the wheels to ensure that the wheels spin straight (i.e it does not look like they are buckled?).

Sorry for asking silly questions but it is nice to cover all of the angles.

Good news, I removed the front wheels and wire brushed the hubs "found some dirts on the right hub" cleaned the hubs and the spacers put back the wheels, tightened the bolts with a torque wrench to 110 Nm (81 lbf.ft). No sign of vibrations[emoji4]
