225 semi slick on stock 197 rim

Car  Albi Blue 197
Afternoon,

Is the standard 7.5j rim on the 197 happy running a 225 semi slick like an NS2-R?

Semi slicks always come up wider!

Thanks

I'm running 215 45 17 federal 595RSR my tyre guys advised not going wider on standard rims as they said the wider ones would roll on the rims , 225 will go on so your call really ,
If ya do it let us know how you get on

Can confirm its fine.

I'm running 7.5" wheels with 225 ns2rs and 30mm springs with no troubles.

@MartinL1993 can confirm its a good combo.

Not the best pic but I'm too lazy to get a new one.

You can see that they didn't roll too far over onto the sidewall. I was running 30psi hot

Yeah the wear on yours gets to a good point on the edge of the tyre so no problems with roll
going too narrow on tyres is probably not the best but the sake of 10mm it shouldn't matter
Also the grip from these is incredible!
