256mb card showing 480gb

Ok i know my SD card is screw bard, its only 256mb's but its showing as 480gb's in each file and theres 30 of them, that 14tb's ie not sodding possible.
How do i format it as it wont let me do it through windows in either fat or fat32.

Can you format it in your camera? (If you have one)

format from cmd?

i would not know how to format in cmd, also tried it in the camera an it will only delete photos and videos but wont touch anything else.

bin it? A 256MB card is about 50p these days.

yea s'pose, also off to spain for 3 weeks tomorrow so it might be better to get one out there.
