2nd gear in 172mk 2

whats the max speed yours gos to in second, mine is just under 60mph which is surprising, will only just go over 60 by the time i am changing gear, or hit the rev limiter

i got 63-4 in mine mate before the renault quality limiter kicks in!!! think my engine f**ked anyways!!

Mine defo does 62 - 64

Yip past 62-63. Make sure your car is well warm, as you can get an early limiter at 6500 instead of 7200.

This is where the R Sport ECU helps lots, I used to hit the limiter all the time. The limiter is just too low standard, I dont thrash it all the way to 7800 now but it just gives you a bit of breathing space when your pushing on round 2nd gear corners etc.

It should definately hit over 60mph in 2nd mate...

2nd Gear = 8.7mph per 1000rpm = 63mph @ limiter

About 63>4 with the engine fully warmed up.If the engine is cold it will limit at 6500 and the variable valve timing does not operate.fully Warm=80c>
