Trophy 373
The gearbox on my 182 has never had smooth changes ever since I bought it and to try and cure it I will soon be fitting the group N engine mounts and powerflex dogbone bushes.
However last night when doing some "spirited" driving when I changed from first into second at ~6.5K rpm it was almost as if I hadn't depressed the clutch completely and made an awful high pitched grinding noise.
Does this sound like the synchro or something else to do with the gearbox ?
And if it is would the best solution be to get it refurbished ? I have heard figures around 300 for this but what would I be looking at realistically for a drive in drive out service ?
