2nd named driver.

Sorry this may be a dumb question:S


My Dads not currently got a car and wont be getting one for a few months.


He's the second named driver on my insurance policy....he says because hes not got his own insurance policy he's not insured to drive my car even though hes a second driver on mine.

Is this correct?....I would of thought him being on my policy as a named driver means he can drive mine without him needing insurance on a car.

Also would he be fully comp cover?

if he's named on the policy he's covered. Had both my parents as named on my cars for a while when i was younger, always useful, and brought the cost down

I thought he would of been.

I have both parents on mine as it brought the price down no-end.

With him not having a car he's going to be using mine for a bit.
