3 1/4 style show plates

like the title says, where would i buy a set of these from? i went on demon plates, where i normaly go but i dont think they do these small plates :S does anyone know the actual size of these plates, so i could have them made??

what are people'es general opinion on this mod?

fancy plates are where most people on here go and tbh mate i wouldnt go for the 3/4 plate but get the normal plates and in the comment box when you go to buy state that you want them to be 3/4 height and full width. means that the recess is filled in totally but it gets rid of the over hang and looks real tidy means also that theres less chance of gettin pulled

9/10 they look alot better and more aggressive, a cheap easy mod.

Imo only works on shorter reg's.

what do people think about pressed metal plates but in the uk font.... cool or does it kinda defeat the purpose of having german letters or something?!

im considering ordering a set but apparently because they arent legal you can get a £30 fine and 3 points?

or am i totally misled?

Show plates are just that! Run and risk it...I did for a yr and got pulled once, no fine...

Make sure you get the plastic surrounds too…They add to the overall effect. Think its about 50+£ for the set and surrounds.

when you said about the pressed plates now being made legal, this cant be as the dvla state the specs on their website and the pressed plates arent legal, it will be the font that they use is the proper standard uk plate. Getting the proper font will probably make it less likely to get pulled but you still can, just depends on the plod in question. MOst likely just getting told to change them or a 30 quid fine and told to change

thanks guys i shall deff be gettin the 3 1/4 height and reg width now, looks mint!! only a 10er on fancy plates aswell! what do you reckon to changing the back aswel?

btw mate when stating in your order it dont say 3 1/4 as its actually 3/4 meaning that its 3/4 of the size of a normal plate just dont want somethin weird turning up in the post haha

mind not drill them on though, go to halfords and buy their very sticky velcro crap to attach them, looks soo much better
