As shown in this PS, who's is the car ?

And secondly where do you get these 3/4 plates from ? Ive looked on various sites and when you go to size theres no specific one that say 3/4 just loads of random sizes ?!

Just wondering which one.

Also your opinions on said plates ?

Tar.

I've just got custom sized ones from fancy plates.
480mm x 90mm, I believe. Like the way it sits in the recess.
Dave88's inferno has the same size shown in his project thread if you wanted an idea of what it looks like..

Whats the likely outcome from the rozzers if they pull you with the smaller plates? (Like the one in the first pic)

Would they just tell you to replace them, or is if fine and points worthy?

oh and yes they'll tell you to replace the plate. If you have a personal plate and you are caught 3 times they can take the plate off you! :( - not great.

oh btw that top picture posted by Slammed172, I like the wheels on that car. ne1 know what they're called, where to get them from or model no?

thanks

Ok, at least you dont get points for it. Ive passed quite a few police cars, including being stuck in two way traffic right by one, and not had any trouble YET.

I guess it's just down to the copper on the day lol!

got pulled for these when the south west lot came round for the black mountain run.

my arguement was that it passed mot with it on so how can it not be road legal but apparently if it doesnt have a kite mark in the corner then it's not legal :S

but it looks so good imo

Didnt know about the legality in regards to making up, certainly a local market stall to me, will make up anything you want, without documents! :quiet::nono:.
3/4 Plates do look well though, but the correct width one looks like the way forward.

  Dodgy one
best sized plate in my opinion...just ordered one

520mm x 84mm if im not wrong......................still thought it wasnt legal but a lot less likely to get pulled for it than a 3/4 sized plate

Its legal as long as the lettering is spaced correctly,IMO the best option is to get a full size one made up and cut it down.

Interesting.

Think i might go for the 3/4 heigh and full length, hmm.

Yes it is illegal to produce show plates with out the name of the company and their postcode or something like that, but company are still going to risk it, especially website companys because they cant really be tracked.

Because we produce plates at work, and we have to put our name and postcode on the bottom.

All of the above plates are illegal?

You have to follow alot of rules to produce a road legal plate

Main ones:
* The plate has to be of stadard size, standard colour, standard lettering, standard spacing.
*Has to be fitted correctly with bolts not distorting the plates read in anyway.
*Has to display a E or kite mark in the bottom right hand corner.
*Has to display Name and locational postcode of the creator at the bottom of the plate.
*Only legal picturing is an EU emberlam and your country of registerd origin eg UK,GB etc
*Has to be viewable clean and clear to read from so many feet aswell.

From now on aswell i believe the penalties are higher and more watched for all changed on the 1st as a few people have said.
Only people aloud to use fully clean non marked plates without any of the above are front line police, fire, nhs vehicals.

3/4 plates are cool though
