I had the privilege and pleasure of going out with Mark for both the WC session and the Megane / AX session later in the afternoon and that corner was one that was tried a number of different ways!you really didnt need to let off over the s bend after the first corner, you could nail it and hit straight over the apex before tapping the brakes before the next corner, you'll see when morky uploads the vid he got i actually left the ground at one point over the apex lol
The conclusion was that by braking before the chicane, you could keep left coming out of it and then be on the power all the way through the right immediately after it and down the long right hand high-speed sweeper, the idea being that if you can get out of the corner before the longest period of acceleration at a higher speed, you'll make up more time than you otherwise would.
And with no-one else seemingly coming close to his pace, I can vouch that it seemed to work!
