3 way passive vs 2 way active? (components, front stage only) which is better?

So basically I have the following equipment:
Hertz HDP5 5 channel amplifier
Audison Bit Ten D Signal Processor
12" generic subwoofer (will get audison or hertz)

I am looking at Audison/hertz components and was wondering to go either 3 way partially passive or 2 way active?
The reason because the Audison Bit Ten processor has only 5 channel output (SUB, and 4 other ones you can configure)

Only the front stage will be connected as I dont want rears. So was going to have the tweeters on there own channels and components on there own channels. But with the 3 way components I could run all three passive through the processor and amp, or have the Lows on there seperate channel and the mids and highs on there own channel using the passive crossover.

So to simplify which is better?

3 WAY SYSTEM (partially active):

CHANNEL 1 - Connected to Low - LEFT
CHANNEL 2 - Connected to Low - RIGHT
CHANNEL 3 - Connected to Mid & High through passive crossover - LEFT
CHANNEL 4 - Connected to Mid & High through passive crossover - RIGHT
CHANNEL 5 SUBWOOFER - connected to subwoofer

2 WAY SYSTEM (full active):

CHANNEL 1 - Connected to Low - LEFT
CHANNEL 2 - Connected to Low - RIGHT
CHANNEL 3 - Connected to High - LEFT
CHANNEL 4 - Connected to High - RIGHT
CHANNEL 5 SUBWOOFER - Connected to subwoofer
