30k service on mk2 172 for £120

George Rhodes and Sons in Biddulph, where I live - about 15 miles from Stoke.

It has been a Renault garage since the year dot but went independant when they fell out about 2 years ago. They wanted to expand but Renault didnt want them too. So they Rhodes packed in the dealership and went on their own- but they are still a Renault specialist.

Only downside is that Renault will not give them permission to do their servicing for the log book stamp - so thats why it is about £100 cheaper.

Mines got an external warranty, not the manufactirer one.

It needs an oil service every 6k or 6 months to keep it valid.

The service was all filters including pollen, but I didnt have an air filter as its got a K&N.

ah that explains it - the 36k service costs a bit more, I think they change the accessory belt or something.

I had that or some kind of belt about 2 months ago...I was on my way back from Chester with a mate (on a private road!?) and did 130, just to see how it went.

The next day some belt started making a funny noise but was fixed under warrenty - not the cam/timing belt but I think they said accessory belt maybe?
