360 Video problem

right, basically I've connected my pc to my Xbox 360 via ethernet and setup media centre and it's found all my documents etc, played a slide show of some holiday pics - works fine, so thought great I can watch my films on my pc on a 46" bravia hd now but oh no, it says something about not recognizing the file type... :dapprove::dapprove:

is this easy to fix? do I need to convert my video files to another format? if so, how?

You can just play any types of video on it.. you can get apps that transcode on-the-fly but it really is better if you have native format video's.

For the record though I seem to remember M$ have expanded what the 360 can play nativly.
