3GS Silent Switch Problem

Not sure why but I've heard this happens on a lot of 3GS'.

When I flick my silent switch, nothing happens until I press firmly on the phone in the area of the switch. Like a connection has come loose or something.

Has anyone else had this problem and how did you sort it? It's no longer under warranty.

Mine had this, bought the parts off ebay and fixed it myself.

I thought it was quite tricky TBH, depends on your skill, youtube it, there is loads of vid.

Mine has broke on 2 3GSs I've had now. Broke on this one and can't be bothered getting it fixed. Was under warranty last time.
