Torn over whether i like them or not, one of the boys at my flats, just bought one as a winter run around! It's the essseeesssseeeesse one. I thought they had Brembo's as std? his doesn't? Sounds pretty good in all fairness, pretty loud.
Yeh mines got the power of the esseesse but imo will outhandle the ss on the roads as the ss suspension is just too firm and crashy for British road surface.....bouncing all over the place

On a track the ss would show mine up in the handling (I think)
And yeh they sound great, my exhaust is getting really loud now that i have hit 4k milage
Seen a few of these on the way back from town today. Still think they're quite funky, but not the car for me.

Presume you're at the lunch on Sunday fella, will come have a nosey.

I will be yeh mate

Is that safe fitting? Looks like they'll cut your head off in an accident.

Will be fine.

Nahhh surely they should be in seperate holes? They're crossing right where your neck is, you're a f**king nutter even driving that down the shops like that.

Lynden, are you suggesting that your quick-fix mods are superior to the factory-developed SS kit?

Do you have to declare harnesses to your insurance company? I'm guessing yes. Declared or otherwise, good luck getting a payout to have your head sewn back on ;)

Yes I am saying it's better than the esseesse

It has more power and like I have said.....the esseesse suspension has literally no rebound or damping so it's terrible on the roads

There is a member on here who runs a trafeo Abarth 500 race car and even he confirmed this

On a track it's totally different....

And yes they ate declared on insurance

Ideally they should be two slots, or an least two grooves for the harnesses.

Weird one.

Definitely looks iffy though dude. :(

It's like the civic type R seats. Ep3 (I think, I'm useless on the new civic names). They have a circular slot, but I don't think it's intended for harnesses.

Have you shown them the fitting? You won't listen so this is the last time I'll say it. That looks extremely dangerous. Oh well.

I'd be wary of fitting harnesses to anything except fixed-back buckets. It's scary the amount of force they're put under in a crash.

Especially for road. Fit harnesses to a reclining seat. Reclining seat was chosen so the back seats could be used. Fit harnesses, back seats can't be used. Just get fixed.

Well, I'd still rather pay the extra for an SS, with leather et al, knowing when it comes to resale, it'll still be an SS, not a basic Abarth with a few bolt-on bits.

either way, it's academic, I wouldn't have one. but that's only an opinon

I intend on getting a recaro pole position at some point in the early new year

And a valid one at that, I didn't want the esseesse mainly due to price and the suspension but if I were to spec the at again I would definatly choose grey and black leather...

Fella, the harnesses look like a death trap. And harness without a cage is double-y stupid. I'd remove them asap. Are they 3 or 4 point?

I dont understand all the b****cks tbh.

F1 isnt a massive sport in terms of cars on the track.I reckon the emissions from the team buses driving all over the world would be more damaging to the planet than the cars on the track.

The le mans 24hr race does more laps in 1 day than the whole season that f1 does in the year.So i dont understand the logic ???

Wrong thread chief?

Don't like the harnesses dude, I don't like the idea of being strapped into a car with no cage. Otherwise everything else is all gravy.
