5w50 fully synth in a 182?

Would it be detremental to a 182 for everyday driving? Could it cause issues that wouldn't occur with say a 0w40 rated oil?

Its a bit thick really, why do you want to use a 50 in a 182?

Never seen a 5w50. Only seen 5w40 and 15w50. You don't really need to go as high as 50, 40 is fine. and 0w is apparently too low for UK so 5w is fine.... hence 5w40 is what most people need unless you have new VW's etc taht require 0w30.

Just read some oilman posts and you will find out all you need to know. They are quite informative.

I use millers xfs 0W50 in my K4M, works fine, nearly same oil pressure over all revs, equal if the oil is hot or cold.

crisp n dry works for me
