60 000km service tomorrow

  E87 118i

not looking forward to it, first major service (gonna cost a bit) and Im cncerned about brake pads, how long was it untill you had to replace your pads ?

  Clio II and Grand Modus

Pads don´t cost a fortune rather cheap.......Mine went trough the 60000km service with no big problems at all only front pads, sparkplugs and fuel filter were changed apart from the std. oil, filter ect. So nothing to worry about if it run properly;)

here in SA they are expensive in my opinion, major service R1690 (about 140 quid) and pads are: R790 (GBP 66) for front and R670 rear without labour !

plugs/fuel filter are included in price so that good.

You can buy the pads of companies on the net for about £13 (~R180)

You can do the pads yourselve very easily Im sure people have written a few long post on how to do it.

I had to change my pads at ~18kmiles or about 29k KM.

A major service is over £200 (~R2400) over here in England.

well just picked up my car, no problems, they tried to get me to get new wipers, but last time I used them they were fine and they would charge a small fortune to supply and fit.

their prices are funny you know, I ask for the sport badge that goes on the boot of the 172, it R520 something (about 43 quid), then I ask about phase 2 tail lights, R375 ( 31 quid) per side with all bulbs etc (bargain imo)
