Thought I would post up in here as im sure many people wont go through the pages on my project thread, far to messy.
Anyway, as you may know, I cant get my 172'd Mk1 to rev past 6k. We originally thought this was down to the ECU not getting a speed reading, but now ive fixed that, and its getting a reading fine, it still wont get past 6k.
Coolant temprature sensor is all good, shows the temprature spot on. Lambda is reading fine (not that it would effect it though I dont think?!).
One wierd thing is, my TPS is reading 10% on idle, and dosent go past 90% even if im flat out, not sure if thats a true reading or what, or if it would even effect the limiter?! Not sure.
Been out for a few runs earlier to log some data....The main one is:
As can be seen, im hitting the limiter in every gear over a few runs (for the purpose of the log), and it never gets past 6k really. The car is fully upto temprature, and has no other problem running wise (that I know of) apart from this limiter.
So my question really is, what else effects the limiter on the ECU? I thought I had all bases covered (speed/cts etc), but it seems not. I dont want to re-map it, as there is obviously an issue somewhere, as its a 100% standard 172 Ph1 ECU.
