The transformation of a regular K4M Clio II



Hi guys,
I've already posted before my quest to re-create a Renault Clio RS on this thread:

I'm just a fan of Renault Clio RS, and I dream I could have something similar to that one day. I had others 1.0l Clio and Dacia Sandero before I bought this one:

This is a "Sport 1.6" K4M engine, and 4 door :( the best Clio mk2 offered here. I decided to make it more sportive, the first step would be new bumpers replica of RS, and painted the wheels:

Now for mechanical upgrades I don't have anything similar to RS. It's using K4M, I installed a JB1 gear box for a higher ratio, eibach springs, polyurethane bushing on suspension and minor stuffs: new exaust, perfomance air filter (those simple crap things).

The big stuff I want to do is change the car side to 2 door. It would be remove 4 door and sold the car side of another (phase 2) Clio. Is it too much?

A whole lot of hassle to turn in to 2 door mate. Looks really nice already and the wheel upgrade was definitely needed, they look brilliant and really suit the car!
 
Thanks guys. im working in bumpers again, I dont like it yet. After that I plan to sold New 2 door sides.

I bought those spacers... The problem: used Parts.. these are Steel spacers(s**t 10kg the four discs). And the center bore (the neck) are too short. .. for aftermarket Wheels you put those plastic rings and centralize the Wheels. But my wheels are OEM Renault, and the result was wheel jumping out the car in a trackday. And dusting the screews holes. I Will GO to a mechinic torner to make new aluminium spacers with screws and porks.. not these s**t spacers I tried to install. So for now Im using none spacers.

After some rework on bumpers the visual looks great now... the next step is put this turbo kit to work :D

My plan is install this intrument panel comming from Sandero GTline. I've painted as carbon fiber texture and changed the led colors.. on next days I'll change the cables and wiring...
Also forged piston and rods installation for turbo

Hi mates, Unfortunately things are not going so well, I've just involved in a crash and the fiber glass bumper just break up everything...For now I don't know when I'll install turbo... The main goal is to reach the Clio RS 172 or 182 bhp.. it would easly pass over using turbo, but the money in my pocket is running away for now...
Justs installed new aftermarket programmable ECU, new exaust system, new and bigger fuel injetors...running in ehtanol and using aspirated k4m it's measuring 110 whp, ~123 bhp .. with the JB1 gearbox it's a very funny car now to run..

After 4 years (and also a World Pandemic) my Clio is just like finished to me.
K4M 850 engine turbocharged 12 psi running Ethanol E100
Performance:
185 whp and 23.9 kgfm in the wheels
Ford CHT (Cleon engine) piston rod, forged piston
Jb1 gearbox with jb3 diferential ratio (torsen diferential)
Sequential injection
All aluminium inlet manifold and fuel lines
Megane r16 Wheels
Coils H&R Sport
Tires Momo Run M3 205/40
DS4 breakes calipers and disc 302 mm
rear calipers and disc from GranScenic 284mm.
