8GB Nano... DEAD

  Clio 197
How bl**dy irritating.

It's dead... won't accept a charge or anything.

I bought it from Comet: Do they have to exchange it for me, or can they fob be off with "send it to apple" or "our technician will look at it".

Usually with comet etc if you take it back there they will send it off to be repaired for you, might take longer though.

How long have you had it Oms?

If it's less than six months, a change in the last few years to the Sales of Goods Act gives you more clout.

Basically if you buy a product, and it develops a fault within the first six months, that fault is deemed to have existed at the time of sale, unless the supplier can prove that it didn't.

If it is under six months, bottom line is they sold you a faulty product, and are therefore obliged to give you a replacement item.

Cheers Mark.

I managed to resurrect it with a boost of power... I'll leave it charging until I come back from the pub and see what happens!

yep, was gonna say, comet will only send it off to apple and apple decide if it needs replacing or fixing.

Mine (the normal mini one) does this when its been allowed to be run so the batteries dead just leave it plugeed in to charge and its fine.
