98 16v alarm

i read in the user manual for my car that when you use the central locking(lock the car from the outside) the warning lights should flash or somthing, but nothing happenes for me, also i was told by someone that their friends 16v locked the doors when you start the engine. do either of these things happen for anyone here?

i have a standard renault alarm and C/L

Dont know much about standard alarm but on mine there r two ways to arm it

1 Press button 1 and it arms with noise and flash

2. press buton 2 and it arms silently

do u have more than 1 button ?

mine was fitted after i bought the car and yes it locks the doors its a ant-hijack feature

also if someone steals it and i point keyfob and press button 3 it shuts down engine and locks doors can u imagine the look on the guys face lol

lol that sound pretty good, wish mine did that. the renault alarm only has one button

they never made a "clio 16v" in 1998 ?????

I could have sworn the last "clio 16v" was 1995 or 1996.
