98-> clio’s on 17 with drop...

ive got a W reg 1.4 16v clio,

and ive seen that quite a few people have dropped them 60mm with 17s.

i had a mark1 1.4 RT which i dropped 40mm and put 16s on and had really bad rubbin.

whats it goin to be like on my newer clio with 17s and a 60mm drop?

bearing in mind i may have 3 people in the car?

as long as the offset is correct it wont rub!!

Well a lot of people seem to be having probs with 17s rubbing on 172s and thats without a 60mm drop.

tomdbomb you can go 60mm no problem on 17s, BUT THE OFFSET NEEDS TO BE ET37 OR AS CLOSE AS POSS

Yup I get no probs even 3 up in the back but no more full lock though!

just one more quick question ive got a jap style exhaust on my clio which is 5inch slash cut

anyone who has had their clios lowered suffer with exhuasts catching on speed bumps?

also im thinking of lowering with just a new set of 60mm springs.

is this ok to do with a 60mm drop? and wot springs to go for thanks tom

Exhaust should be ok, mine catches on the rear beam, but it is down 110mm!!!!!

std shocks wil be fine, but they will only last about 12months max. IMO the best springs to go for are Pi 60mm
