Andy I was all set to help there mate until you said chamois!

Me and JD will be along tomorrow to help.

Have a look in the detaling section at past threads,

One word of advice? Don't do things by half. Do it right first time. Buy it right first time. :)

The only thing worse than a chamois is a drying blade. Those probably are the 2 worst things you could possibly own for car cleaning.

Do a bit of research mate that's all I can suggest. http://www.detailingworld.co.uk

Get yourself some Mircofibres, drying towel, buffing towel.

As for the polisher you probs want a DA, gally and JD will help you out soon.

Hi guys, after cleaning my car yesterday I noticed a few things that I couldn't seem to get rid of: 1. There's quite a lot of swirling/small scratches pretty much all over the car. What's the best thing to use to remove/mask these if doing it by hand, bearing in mind ill probably need to do the whole car? 2. A bird decided to leave me a present on the bonnet & roof which has left the paint looking slightly faded.Again what's the best thing to use to get this area back to normal? 3. Finally I noticed a few small stone chips on the bonnet & front bumper. How do I get rid of these? please guide me :approve:

1. Something like Autoglyms super resin polish, and a few coats of it. It's a good filling polish so should help fill the light scratch marks and reduce the swirling, you'll have a good right/left arm once you've done it all. Apply it with a decent hand polish sponge with an abrasive side to help you won't damage the car doing it by hand unless you're He-Man. Then apply a good wax like Autoglyms HD wax to seal the polish in so you don't end up apply polish every 5-6 washes.

2. Clean it off, polish it out as best you can.

3. Paint

Yes! I have also some detailing questions in my mind:-

I got to wash my car today. And had a few questions about a few things.

1. Meguiar's ultimate quick detailer spray, do you spray it directly on the car's surface or on the towel? Does it matter if it gets on anything else besides the paint such as the glass, chrome trim, the grill, or anything else?

2. How often are you supposed to clean you leather? How often to condition the leather? What are the best conditions to do it in?

3. What should I use to clean the interior of the car such as the dashboard, the plastic cover where the gear shifter is, and the navigation screen?
