Hi guys

After a recent addition of a D40 I haven't a clue how to use it so I've just been snapping away trying different things.
Now bear in mind I have only ever used a point and shoot type camera, this is my first shot at using a DSLR

Any feedback, good or bad would be blinding. Thanks

Agree, good results for a 1st go! Keep on shooting and experiment with the different camera settings.

I always find it useful when people give some constructive critisism to me and are not only positive so here goes:

- Watch where you crop the photos.

Photo 3. The post/ wall could have been left out or shown more. As it is, it is just in the way.
Photo 4. Trimming the girls fingers and feet off - Would have been nicer to see all of her or less of her.

- Horizons are generally more aesthetically pleasing off centre. The rule of thirds is always a handy guide.

All IMHO of course!
