A good price?

Just realised my insurance is due tomorrow so had to renew with Elephant for now for ease, but will be shopping about and can always cancel.

Renewal for me:

£691.

23 y/o male
5 NCB
No points/accidents relevant
5k miles per year on social only
F/C with £1k excess (high I know but don't plan on claiming, my risk etc blah blah.)
D rated postcode area.
Kept on a drive.

Managed to barter them down on the phone to £650.

Overall I think this was a half decent price....has anyone else had anything with similar circumstances?

I know insurance is a lottery etc, and can vary hugely. BUT if someone on here with similar details has paid £400, it's worth me chasing around a few more companies.

Its probably not a bad price TBH, but as said everyones is different. I am 25, 5 years NCB, A rated postcode, £250 excess, 6k miles a year, no point/accidents and kept on drive. I pay £500 with protected no claims
