I bought some 182 wheels while back, had brand new no name tyres on the front, they were so scary in the wet, even just when driving normally I had no trust in them making it round the corner.

Uniroyal Rainsports. 9/10 tyre for 4/10 money. Massive grip in the dry/wet.

I'll second that, fantastic tyres and about £20+ a corner cheaper than the PE2's

Ditch finders (cheap tyres) on a fwd performance hatch producing 160-170bhp (standard) = trouble do not try to skimp out on tyres! tyres are the the only contact between u and the road! Dont ever see Bolt doing the 100m in daps! Running Ps3s all round myself.

Currently got 205. 45 16 nankangs at the moment, but I am after some new alloys with tyres fitted (ps3) but there option is 195 45 16, Is this alright? Better? Worse? What would people recommend 205 or195 or not a big deal?

Not going to make a huge difference, but 205's will have slightly more rubber on the road than 195's, because they're wider.
