A newbie

Hi there.
I'm new to Clio's. Just bought one last month - a Clio 1.6 16v Initiale (year 2001, only 51,000 on the clock and brilliant leather seats, goes well and handles so well!!). I know this is a sport clio forum, but I hope I can still be here.
A little story about my experience with Clio's. Went to Majorca in 2002, hired a car which happened to be a Clio, and to be honest with you I really didn't like it - the way it handled etc. It felt all loose and over the place. Probably poorly maintained. Hope I haven't offended anyone - not intended.
Anyway my middle daughter fell out of love with Fiestas and wanted to go for a black Clio. Just happened to be a 1600 RSI (yr 2000). She fell in love with it and I went with her to check it over and I reminded her of my first not so good impression of Clio's. I drove hers and, well..."I don't remember Clio's being like this!. This is good!" She bought hers and then we bought one - me and my wife. She love's it.

I have come here for a bit of advice, which I'll post in the relevant area. Cheers.

Welcome to CS. Must admit I'm tempted to get a set of the Initiale alloys for my clio.

Very nice the Initiale was very will specced for a non-sport, with xenons, leathers and exclusive alloys. With them being a 1.6 16v as well pretty nippy. Only downside I feel is they were only 5 door. Get some pics up non the less.

I quite agree with you. We nearly went 3 door, but we have got a teenager that needs to get in the back - parents have to make these sacrifices !
