A really cheap laptop just for internet use!!!

Cheers

Fancy a drive to Monks Cross now. Have you got the alarm code whilst your at it ;)

Re your laptop problem. Why not get one of these MOFO-esq free laptop with mobile broadband deals?

Cos I dont fancy being tied into a contract for 2 years paying £35 a month. Ive already got broadband for nothing as its in my house and included in the bills I pay so id rather just buy a laptop.

hmm im sure that was what york was when i was there unless they have changed the store numbers it used to be the code to get into the back

they were indeed 0720... now become 4208. Probably moved location or had a refit since.

Laura, you should have visited PC World just after Xmas... we reduced all of our clearance lines down to silly prices (40% off) which included laptops. Pretty much all been cleared through Nationwide now.

I wouldnt have been able to afford on then anyway and I didnt even realise the house Im in had broadband till one of my housemates mentioned it the other day.

I was recently in PC world and to be fair I would usually suggest they are overprice but their netbook section (which is what I went to look at myself) was pretty competitive compared to internet prices.

I would suggest you take a look at them if you are going the shop anyway tho, they seem to fit what you want - just the internet for low amounts of £££, tho make sure you have a go as you might not like the small screen (for example)

I want a couple of games on mine so I plumped for a 'proper' laptop in the end

worth a go like!

As long as the laptop has a wifi card (any new one will) it will be fine.

I got an HP laptop off Ebuyer for £400 the other week, more memory than what you posted on the large page, dunno what processor you've got tho.

anyway if it sounds interesting: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/152237

easily surfs the net, I have office 2007 on it, also Dreamweaver, photoshop and flash, and it seems fairly capable.
